I think back on my childhood friends that i still have connections with until now, however tenuous they maybe, and i feel so blessed whenever i remember them. The more i see the world, the more i appreciate how rare it is to have such strong friendship in childhood that endures for so long

Just got to my first story lock in Hundred Line. Hmmm... not liking the concept of blocking off further progress of a route before doing another one first but eh. I'll give it a chance for now

Just finished Feudal Japan route in Live a Live remake. This is prolly the route that got the biggest glow-up in the remake. The HD-2D look allows for more dynamic framing of the dungeon and so doing dungeon exploring is so much easier since each area looks much more distinct and thus making it-

Ender Magnolia beaten
Good, brisk, convenient metroidvania ye. I guess all indie metroidvania is brisk, but the convenient level design and qol features helps smoothes it out into being a particularly brisk experience. And i was in a particular mood for it so this game really does the job for me

Finished Fruit of Grisaia since weeks ago and i forgor to post about it 💀. Uh, good read. Sachi was my personal fave route but Amane's flashback and Michiru's psychological issues were highlights that i adore as well

Done with Split Fiction. pretty mid game tbh, but the last third of it was trippy enough that it leaves a nice note in the end for me

Crazy how Split Fiction only got good after i got to like presumably the last two stages of the game. It's soooooo mid for most of it

Just finished Yumiko's Route from Fruit of Grisaia 2 days ago. It's a pretty nice route, huge parts of the route can get a bit "comically edgy" in terms of Yumiko's past, but i'm luckily in the mood for a sort of cheesy tragic girl story and the sickly sweet parts still got me so it's aight overall

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 finished. What a game. I had a major gaming burnout during my playthrough of this and even against all that, it still manages to be peak. Holy fucking shit. It's so good, fuck man. Had me punching air so many times in many of its plot twist

Remembering Cavalier of the Abyss exists...

Coming to the sad realization that i might have a case of gaming burnout. Or at least, a burnout of the Open World 3D AAA-adjacent type. Expedition 33 has been a wonderful game but everytime i think of attempting to explore its big, big world, i just groan and not wanna touch the game for a while

My heart broke during that ending. I've never been left this speechless by the end of a game. Similarly, i've never had so much trouble coming up with ways to talk about a game. It's just, man, i never expected to be impacted this much by it. It's so good. I'll be crying again in my corner now

Finding myself in a major Masato Honda mood these days. He is such an odd entity in my music-listening hobby. Plenty of times, especially during my first listen of his work, i'll find his songs to be technically proficient, yet profoundly unfriendly to my ears

...I just can't resist. The hype got me
May 15, 2025 at 8:17 AM
Now with God of War 2018 outta the way. I wonder if i should get onto Expedition 33 now? Then again. I do still have three parts of Dot Hack IMOQ left...

God of War 2018 beaten. Good ass videogame, bad first impressions aside lol
May 14, 2025 at 3:31 AM
I still find myself thinking about Utawarerumono sometimes. God what a terrible trilogy. Every entry just always have some plot stuffs that can't help but shoot themselves in the foot. Except for Deception but even then, SoL overload is just bleurgh. I will never understand the hype it got

Glad that God of War 2018 is really clicking for me rn. Getting enough traversal abilities, and gaining better understanding of certain mechanics of the game like Axe throwing really improved my enjoyment of the game. Story got better as it went along too which is an added bonus. It's nice ye

Anyway that is .hack Infection finished. This is just a game to vibe with ngl. i've only seen plot setups. interesting plot setups but plot setups nonetheless. So what i'm left is just a novel JRPG simulating the MMO experience. which is really cool. But it has odd quirks. reaaal odd

whoever designed these assholes should be put on trial for their game design crimes cause what the hell is an auto-reviving enemies doing in this game? as if it is not insufferable enough already oh my god
May 5, 2025 at 5:59 AM
Between .hack Infection and God of War 2018, and then Tekken Tag 2 when my mood doesn't quite fit for the former two, AND Spiritfarer during weekend when both me and my friend got some free time to spend on it, April has been a lot of gaming in my rotation. They're all fun but phew. Gets tiring lol
May 3, 2025 at 11:47 PM
I rotate frequently between "This game has such novel ideas, concept and executions for JRPG" and "Why tf are you so repetitive???" for .hack Infection. Today's session was unfortunately the latter for me. Would prolly land as a 6 for me but it's a novel, fond 6. It's pretty cool ye

God of War 2018 really knocked me out for a loop holy fuck. Been awhile since i had this much dizziness over a game. Smth about the way the camera looks and moves around really gives me headache. Fucking hell

I hate that Spiral of Erebos is in CS3. It is so unfair a track that good is for a game that shitty. I'm so mad uuuurgh
