Because he’s spent his whole life not knowing what care really feels like, especially not from himself. It’s such a foreign concept and seems so frivolous??? But also he’s so starved for any tenderness that even the act of getting a gift has him kinda choked up.

Roach probs went “Um, even tho you choose to wear it you also scratch at your mask a lot + seem uncomfy and in pain and my sis always talks about how relaxing doing this stuff is so idk I hope it might help” and Simon just takes the gift and tears up a bit.

Also origins for Simon’s skincare routine in the first place? Roach. Who didn’t even really think too hard about it, just got Simon a generic skincare pack as a gift one day.

This is just for me to segway into Rudy and Ghost bonding, with Rudy going out of his way to look up remedies or good soothing creams for Ghost’s scars and possible chronic pain, even if Ghost never says anything. Thoughtful Rudy always observant and sensitive to others’ needs. 😭

I love the thought of Rudy getting all soft that Ale has more people to do skincare self care days with other than just him now. 🥹 He’s never seen Ale so eager to get a face mask on now that it’s become a team thing.

Alejandro grew up with acne problems while Rudy has always been blessed with immaculate skin. Ale used to get conscious of about doing skincare on his own so Rudy started doing it with him in solidarity and now they both have great skincare habits.

Bonus is that AleRudy are both very much also on top of their skincare. The three of them can be found sitting around with face masks and spa headbands during their downtime. 😌✨

This entire hc is powered by my just wanting Simon to give himself a little self-care after all he’s been through. 🥺 He deserves some pampering, and I love the thought of him pampering his fave people in return.

Simon would also be so horrified when he witnesses Johnny wash his face with hand soap one time. He literally bullies the man back to the sink to do it again with actual facial wash.

Ghost lowkey trying to improve 141’s skincare with little gifts and subtle tips and sharing general info as to why something is good for the skin. Insists Gaz moisturize and pushes Price to better care for his beard. Has Johnny join him in his bedtime facial routine.

I just love the thought of Simon wearing a facial mask and scaring the shit out of Soap and the rest of 141 when they inadvertently happen upon him at different points in time. Tbh they probably find him more intimidating with it versus his usual skull mask.

Ghost has to take care of his skin not just because he’s got scarring on his face that needs a little extra TLC, but also because if he doesn’t he’s gonna have breakouts all the time thanks to wearing a balaclava most of the day everyday.
