Agreed, free play, kick to the corner and 3 points is enough reward. As a huge springbok supporter I cannot pretend that was good value for people who paid good money for their tickets.

At my local church lunch yesterday there were about 10 farmers that could probably do the job if they spent a few weeks with Daan Human. And my town is mall enough not to have one traffic light.

I can almost 100% assure you this is not the case. On my WhatsApp groups and any rugby conversations outside of social media here in SA there is a real respect for Ireland rugby as a team that's been the best or close to the best in the world for years.

I still think if Franco is an option they should roll the dice because they clearly want more and maybe he can do it. I've always perceived the Townsend era to measure performances on factors independent of the scoreboard at times.

Which is why I can't understand the pressure on Scotland with 2 professional teams to win the six nations etc. Of course they're a proud team but it must be so difficult.

Sorta off topic but the yellow card nonsens for a weaker scrum has to stop. The attacking team already gets a free play with penalty advantage plus the chance to kick for the corner which is enough. Also the prop is trying his best, how is that negative play.

I'm not stressed because Rassie has shown they can identify the best of the next generation and slot them in. Some of those waiting in the wings like Hanekom etc will probably up the level.

We lost our best player in Ox and it made little difference. Lots of work on the training field to make that possible.

The Ireland defense was immense. In hindsight the Boks should have kicked a few penalties.
