Queer kids need to understand that what they have at home with homophobic abusers is something they will be able to leave behind one day. They need to see us prevailing. Living. Making boundaries against those who'd oppress us.

Pride this year and every year is A RIOT.

This was a terrifyingly valid fear; in no way is this a free society. We desperately need change. I hope one day you can feel safe.
