Yeah! I've seen so many value corrections from teachers, it's really amazing what the contrast does for depth (or lack thereof). Lately I've been practicing dynamic poses, but environments are next for me, I think. I'm excited to apply value studies into making believable backgrounds hehe

Yeah, I see a lot of people starting with a greyscale painting and then using gradient maps to check the values of the colors they want to use to finish the piece with color. Somehow I missed that you were talking about basic value studies though LOL my bad ✋

Oh? I was under the impression that it helps show how color correlates to value or vice versa
