Christmas came early this year! The Royal Saskatchewan Museum put two turtle fossils I found and excavated on display! A nearly complete skull of an unidentified Baenid, and a right xiphiplastron of a large Axestemys.

¡Hoy es el día de la paleontología en Argentina! I visited Trelew in Patagonia back in April to study turtle fossils. However, I couldn’t resist checking out the #Patagotitan just outside the town. Patagotitan is considered one of, if not the largest non-avian #dinosaur that we know of!

Howdy y’all! Figured my first post should be introductory. I’m Jack, and I’m a paleontologist and taphonomist based in Saskatchewan, Canada. My research is focused on dinosaur taphonomy, trace fossils on bone, and sedimentary geology. Expect lots of field photos and fun ramblings!
