The world’s oldest known wild bird, a 74-year-old Laysan albatross named Wisdom, laid an egg on Nov. 27, & is expected to welcome a baby chick in the coming months.

She has laid 50-60 eggs since researchers began tracking her in 1956.

The avg albatross lifespan has been estimated at about 40 years
