Tonight I enjoyed a Dragon Parade, consisting of a few dozen dragon floats. The behemoth creatures have framework formed using thin bentwood and covered with colored tissue paper, then lighted inside by dozens of candles. And, witness - they are flammable, too! #luangprabang #lao #dragonparade

Tonight I enjoyed a Dragon Parade, consisting of a few dozen dragon floats. The behemoth creatures have framework formed using thin bentwood and covered with colored tissue paper, then lighted inside by dozens of candles. And, witness - they are flammable, too! #luangprabang #lao #dragonparade

I have yet again come to Thailand. Here’s a photo taken from our plane as we are on the landing approach for the airport in Bangkok. I am impressed by the use of arable land I’ve seen next to large cities in SE Asian countries - it creates great farm to market access! #thailand #bkk #bangkok
