Have you considered/will you consider functional changes to the experience?

The one thing Mastodon has that I want is auto-deleting posts. A 1 or 2 week lifespan is plenty, and I want all older posts to auto-delete.

I know y'all did a Daggerheart session, but the series is general is not DH, correct? Is it D&D?

Hey now...the second half of that is not a valid argument. I'm 52, but I'll read YA fiction if it's fun, if it's a diversion.

The first half of that...yeah, totally.

True, but that feels like such a pedantic step. It's a fair point though.

that...is weird. It basically makes the mayor useless. That's just a typical final 3 day then, because any kill means game has ended.

I am not sure I am willing to run it that way.

same

how? If only 2 players plus 1 traveller live, evil has already won.

Or do you mean the "another player might die part"?

You got your physical book?
November 24, 2025 at 5:16 PM
interesting.

I mean, sometimes what I want is an audio book, and Libro is the most ethical source I know of, but it's interesting to know as I get back to more written books that I am also sending a better percentage to the author.

Is that an issue with audio books, or with Audible? I never use Audible (anymore) but i still buy from @libro.fm
November 24, 2025 at 12:44 PM
in what way? Most of my books have been audio books (from libro, not Audible), but I am getting back to written format more, mostly on Kobo

I just noticed how much fun "Slop Stop" is to say out loud.
November 21, 2025 at 9:34 AM
Yeah, it's such a petty, small-scope thing. It's not something that requires justice departments or senates to fix, it's just something that requires a human being to say "You're a jerk". It's something that any of us could have responded to had we been there, so we want to have had that chance.

My corollary would be "If I thought they were on my side, and then this comes out, then they weren't on my side after all"

Top of the list is Root

Other top tier are Robo-Rally, Pandemic, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Smallworld, .. I won't try and make an exact top 10, but Root is top 1

I love them, but remember that the great majority of castles you see here are probably from the 1800s, 1700s at the earliest. They are the ones that have a chance of still being in good condition. The fairy tale castle you're thinking of, that is still around, is pretty rare.
November 16, 2025 at 8:37 AM
that's why I am hesitating
November 15, 2025 at 9:09 AM
Interesting. They say they are working on a partnership with Kobo.
November 2, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Nope, I absolutely loved it. It wasn't perfect, but we need to get past anything other than perfect being a let down.
