it also undermines leftist economic policy because as a rule trans people tend to be worse off (since society treats them so poorly) and so any government assistance that might go to trans people gets attacked along those lines

I think the best thing for you would be to move somewhere else, with people who can or will support you. I know that’s so much easier said than done, but it feels important to work towards. I’ll do whatever I can to help you.

I’m so sorry, Rune. I know how that feels—you know how my own family was like that—so I sympathize. People like you taught me I deserved better though, and because of that I can say YOU deserve so much better too.
