I have a boat with a small outboard for getting in and out of harbour. My latest is just sail and oars though.

Looking further back there are Swedish tiled ovens - kakelugnar.
These became popular in the 1700s as an efficient way to burn firewood (which was scare because of the iron industry). The fire & flue gases heat the column. When the fire dies back you close the flue and use it as a radiator.

I presume it's connected to how the energy market is regulated and the price cap. It didn't show the same peak as gas prices 2 years ago but has continued rising since.

I'm currently reading Roland Svensson's 'Skärgårdsliv i gången tid' - Life in the archipelago in past times.
It has a fascinating lexicon of dialect words that reflect life on the islands.
