These ones were really good. Crazy what a kettle vortex and a little duck fat can do.

Yeah it got hot fast! It didn’t help I had a bunch of old charcoal left in there before I started lmao but I burnt it down and ended up moving my coal bed off to the side and started using smaller splits.

Pretty damn good if I do say so myself.

Gonna play around with it see how it works.

Long cook finally done. Don’t like the way it shrunk up, I’ll have to work on my trim skill more

I could have taken out the supplied grate all together but I feel like I would have lost some oxygen flow on a flat surface. Idk I’m still learning how to run an open fire pit

Ended up putting together this charcoal basket for the last bit of my cook and it ended up keeping my coal bed from falling through the grates which worked a lot better. Kept losing my cole bed through the supplied grate of this pit and had trouble lighting my splits.
