Never said listening to audiobooks was a bad thing or inferior to reading. In fact, I love audiobooks! I believe (if possible) a child should have both reading and listening during their development.

Didn't say it wasn't, you learn different things depending on what you do. I believe both methods are important, just listening wont bring the spelling skills (and words deciding)

I disagree, because reading a physical book helps learning how words are written. Listening helps with vocab, but only vocally. Both books are books, but listening isn't reading
