I disagree. I think they expected men to be ambitious and designed a system that would check the ambitions of one politician with the ambition of others. What they didn’t anticipate was that after 250 or so years without a king people would have forgotten enough to become servile.

Everyone involved in writing this headline should be ashamed of themselves. These types of intentionally vague descriptions just serve to normalize horrific behavior.

The point of all of this is to limit voting because the less voter participation there is the better odds they have of winning elections despite their unpopular policies. It’s that simple. You either know that and are dishonest or don’t know that and should not be an elected official.
