It is grimly hilarious to me that all the guides for how to support a family member with dementia presume you are starting from a clear diagnosis and open rational unstigmatized lines of communication between everyone about what’s going on.

After the election, my spouse (P) and I agreed on a division of labor. Scanning the news for threats was one of my jobs. The task was *bring up relevant information, not unnecessary dread.*
