I literally do not understand how the whole both parents working full-time thing is supposed to work.
The house is constantly a disaster zone and we're barely there to pick it up let alone keep up with dishes and laundry. I can't decide if I just suck at this or what... Do not like.

Moving into our house while it was still partially a construction zone was hard. Not being able to choose homes for items and living in a state of clutter was hard. Living in the concern that the lack of tidiness meant I was slowly becoming a hoarder was hard.

Losing a loved one to old age feels natural, a life well lived and loved til it's last breath. Sad, but to be expected.
Losing an 18 yr old loved one due to an accident feels unnatural. So many unknowns, a life cut short. Heartbreaking.

My first job out of college was for a place that made grocery ads. I had a coworker who HATED the word moist. Seeing it, hearing it, typing it, saying it all gave him the heebie geebies. I thought it was funny, and still did until I found the word that causes it for me this year.

The auditorium was full, the kids did an amazing job and I received the loudest round of applause I've ever had from a group of students when the conductor gestures to me. Mistakes and all it was a great night! 🥰

The biggest disservice I did to my family and myself this year was getting a job before the holidays.
I've done nothing for holiday baking like usual, none of the usual puzzle building, essentially none of the quality time things and I'll spend most of their break working because I don't get PTO. 😔
