International songwriting competition 2019, Original song "Shooting star"was chosen "Honorable Mention" of jazz category.
ISC 2020, Original song “Dawn – Chaos”was chosen “Honorable Mention” of jazz category.
ISC 2021, Original song “Paradox”was chosen “Honorable Mention” of jazz category.

In 2020, he released his CD “Paradox” on Playwright. It was recorded on May 9-10th, 2020. All songs were written by him.
In 2023, he released his CD “One Step Beyond” on Playwright. It was recorded on April 16th and May 21th, 2022. All songs were written by him.

In 2001, Kaoru appeared as jazz band of opening act on "Manhattan Jazz Quintet". At the same time he participated MJQ's Jazz seminar and experienced to session with MJQ's members.
Between 2012 and 2019, he performed in more than ten jazz festivals across Japan.

Kaoru Hashimoto is a jazz pianist, synthesizer player and composer.
He finished a doctoral course and obtained his PhD at Kagoshima University in 2012.
He studied jazz piano under Eishin Nose (NYC, USA) and studied synthesizer under Kenji Uehara (Fukuoka, Japan).
