Kurt Vonnegut! love it

I was wondering what came first, being turned on with a car crash or feeling despair? It turns out that those two books were written back to back, with 'Crash' being a year before 'Concrete Island' - so despair follows arousal...

I liked his "Concrete Island" novel. (not really a brutalist connection, but, hey, 'concrete' in the title.)
About a man stranded in a no-mans-land on the highway after a crash.
