She has a Lego mini figure set of her inner demons & collects heart-shaped stones: She likes that a lot. Then she throws them into water & waits.

That's where I'm right now! Just doing my thing and questioning any info, turning it upside-down and taking my own (hopefully) informed stance on haiku and tanka.

... there is a lot of ego happening in the haiku genre community. The I-Know-better, and the but-XY-said (insert the name of one distinguished expert). It lead to a lot of confusion on my side (and also frustration, and the will to push back, or just doing my thing). 2/2

I have a loooot of thoughts about that, haha. I wish I could go back and tell my student self some things. I also wish new learners had the advantage of having all the facts at their hands instead of needing to pick up hints and fragments from several sources over years to understand that ... 1/2

Do we really know what we mean when we say "going back to the roots"? Is it just a #westerninterpretation that we cling to? Do we experience #haiku #nostalgia around something that we created in our heads (and is that anyway valid)? Is there too much b/w thinking happening? So many questions!!!
