Does he even have the legal authority to do this? 10 USC 6968 seems to imply that presidential appointees to the Naval Academy’s Board of Visitors serve three-year terms, with no mention of any ability to dismiss them.

Cool. I think that if the Trump administration doesn’t abide by statutory law and court orders, it releases all Americans from any obligation to pay federal taxes.

If the Trump administration ignores this restraining order and ships them there anyway, we will be in, by even the most cautious use of the term, a dictatorship.

The real villains here are social media companies, Hollywood, the fashion and cosmetic industries, and the like — and now a lot of “masculinist” politicians too. Men and women should stop blaming and disrespecting each other and start calling out the people who have made it and keep it like this.

None of that lessens the different but similarly toxic pressures being put on women, and of course it should never be forgotten that they are also far more subject to physical violence.

Might get dogpiled for this, but I do think it’s important to be aware that young (and not-so-young) men are being preyed on by a hideously toxic culture around dating and relationships that shames them mercilessly for being sexually unsuccessful, and doesn’t even allow them space to talk about it.

And often just creates new problems. 90% of the "tech" that has come out of SV since 2010 or so has been utter crap that just distracts you, actively gets in your way, corrodes your privacy, and toxifies public discourse, all in the name of advertising dollars. And that's probably an underestimate
