A snowy November day in Copenhagen is the perfect excuse for a quick trip to the incredible Thorvaldsen Museum!

One of the most beautiful museums in a city full of them, it's entirely dedicated to the life & art of Denmark's most iconic sculptor. What's inside? Let's take a look in this 🧵!

Sometimes I think there are about ten poems for understanding the world, and this is one of them:

—Why is there such great idleness inside the Senate house?

Why are the Senators sitting there, without passing any laws?

The barbarians, when they come, will legislate.

Physicist Lise Meitner was born #OTD in 1878. She discovered fission in uranium with Otto Frisch, and was the first person to understand both its mechanics and implications. A thread! (1/n)
