Finland and Sweden were more or less the same country from the real beginning ~ 1000 ~1100 when countries started to be formed until 1810 when we lost half the country to Russia.
Fighting many wars with Russia from the 8th century to 1810 we know who’s the enemy.

Actually, in this area beards and tattoos are mostly common among those around my son’s age ~30. However I’ve always turned them down bearded or not because I already do have children. 😅

Well, there seems to be a high degree of overlapping in the Venn-diagram between those. Personality, intellect, values and common sense is the main discriminator anyway.
Considering other values and area of Sweden I’ve never considered that a problem.

My son grew a big viking beard when he was 20 because he wanted to look older, now at 30 he has a normal styled beard because he still feels looking too young without and because it’s cold up North.

No I’m very original Swedish.
There is no general significance of beards or not. Among low educated, many MAGAs & big beards. Younger men,as my son, grow beards to look older/manly.
There’s also a lot of MAGAs without beards in 🇸🇪. At my academic workplace, I se few beards, but big beard=MAGA.

I think Europe and our welfare states are much more into Christian values than the US. The US far right is Anti Christians.
