Several fanstatic seminars at the Wilson Sibbett Memorial Symposium. We welcomed 100 old friends and colleagues with participants travelling from as far as France, Germany and the US to share their memories, and reflect on Wilson‘s incredible scientific legacy.

Congratulations to Morgan Facchin, who has been awarded the Bronze Prize at STEM for Britain 2025 for his work on optical detection of arsenic in 19th Century books, which is a collaboration with Libraries and Museums of University of St Andrews and Graham Bruce

Recent work by Graham Bruce and University Libraries and Museums on finding poisonous 19th Century books is now featured in the exhibition ‘Poisonous Books – dangers from the past’, at the Wardlaw Museum until 23rd March. Entry is free for all. @grahamdbruce.bsky.social

It has now been exactly 1 year since the planetarium started up again and had their first visit on the 20th of Feb 2024 to the Strathkinness Scouts. They have since delivered over 50 shows in 15 different locations! Thank you to the Planetarium team for all their hardwork and dedication.
