Nobody wants to tackle the problem of WHY. Why are they leaving their own countries? Bad enough that it’s often due to war, but the greatest irony is that it’s often British and US armaments sold to authoritarians which is killing them in the first place. #r4today #immigration

"Evidence-based policy does work, but you have to own it, explain it and stay the course. It costs political capital, and politicians need to be brave. In a world where facts and evidence matter less and less, it is all the more vital that we stand by that evidence to take our nation forward"
