got into UX design because I care too much both ways that I learned web dev as well so devs got no excuses 🤓
That's so cool! I literally just saw something similar on codrops yesterday but they use canvas and all. I was like, I think theoretically this can be done in CSS? Then this 🤯

List style, paragraph spacing & indentation (not only Figma, word processors, InDesign and Illustrator have it as well), text truncation, and opentype features (numeric style options especially tabular, sub/sup script, fraction, ligatures & alternates)

Overall, @penpot.app is good enough for static design with some workarounds but not good enough (for me) to present to clients

They recently added multi-stop gradient feature, so that's something. Still waiting for per-side border settings.

Penpot typography settings are limited. It's fine when I design stuff for me myself to develop because I can make mental notes about the tweak. I'm using it in Arc Browser, sometimes it lags and sometimes it takes a second to rerender text after modification

That AI PM mentioned the "other" app talking about animating prototypes. I'm pretty sure they mean Framer. Rather than adding better markup and prototyping tools to Figma, they cope out with AI. Speaking of web builders, both Framer and Webflow support semantic elements

Now I want clip outline or something like that 🙂

Imagine you're at the reception filling out a form and the person behind the desk said, "You silly sausage." Or you ask a shopkeeper and get puppy eyes and "Uh oh, sowwy I couldn't find that."

Sometimes we're too removed from real-life interactions. 😆

Be a better woman then. To admit that she had over generalise. Read your first statement:

> Android is bad

There are a lot of factors and nuances to just generalise the whole OS "is bad."

Also I don't say Android is good either. Making absolute statements like that makes you sound ignorant

I did experience crash on iOS. I have also helped people complaining their apps crashed on update. iOS and Android. I use both. Android (specifically the old Note 20 Ultra) is my daily driver because of the pen and DeX mode. iPhone for funsies, and developing with SwiftUI

Anyway back to your point, I just want to point out that you are over generalising. That's all

I usually recommend (old) people to not jump between manufacturers because of this

It became a trend because Android used to not have a thorough design guideline. I would say Material 3 is when Android design guideline has matured enough to be in comparison with Human Interface Guideline
