A suggestion I made to a History prof friend regarding catching AI papers was to have in-class quizzes/tests on their own paper - even as far as a full blown defence. At least their subject knowledge gained can be determined. I think it would be particularly powerful the first year this was done.

It was an excellent statement and I was pleased to see him address the Canadian fentynal and immigration falacies but he should have also addressed the lies re the US deficit with Canada.

Does anybody really believe the tariffs are about fentanyl and illegal immigration? Especially in the case of Canada... the numbers are ludicrously small. Trump often adds an aside that the tariffs are going to make a ton of money, but the media never picks up on that motivator.
