Sorry, I’m having a hard time understanding what you’re saying here. I’m advocating for higher wages ACROSS THE BOARD. That would include manufacturing. Those jobs SHOULD go up in wage. You’re right, though, American-made likely isn’t going to be the norm, but no reason to not work for it.

Yes, I realize c-suite dickbags want to maximize their own salaries with little regard for their employees. So in this vacuum, let’s tax the shit out of these greedy fucks based on the ratio of their salaries to their lowest paid employee salary.

I have to imagine that paying Americans a decent wage would encourage the purchase of more high-quality, US-made products. “Lifestyle creep” is a thing, after all. Makes me wonder what the American economy is actually missing out on by letting its citizens get shafted by greedy execs.
