This delivery experience is *still* going. Currently coming up on Tapachula, having left Veracruz a few hours ago. It’s been since RNO, TUS, SAT and VER. They’re really taking their time about this.

Nice…where at?

I’ve never seen one until today even tho they’ve been around for awhile…kinda looks like an Otter mixed with an Islander.

Besides the obvious fuel issue, it appears to have landed with a lot of ice build up. Yikes. Luckily they made it safely into TLA, the plane was fixed up and then continued on to ANC a few days later. It was supposed to leave YVR today, but was still there when I left around sundown.

Data is missing across the Bering Straight (DYR-TLA), but it looks like it did the crossing at around 11,000ft. ANC was the original destination, but they realized they weren't gonna make it (according to local station KNOM) and diverted to OME...realized the wx sucked and then diverted again to TLA

They consistently made a lot of claims and a lot of promises that flew out of a seemingly endless stream of ideas whose goalposts were on a 2-6wk horizon. If I got a nickel for every time I heard the next 757 was a few weeks away or that Mexico service was 6wks from launching I’d have a few bucks.

After that initial plan fell apart, it felt like a carrier flailing around to find passengers and purpose. Doesn’t seem like they ever truly found either, but they can’t say they didn’t try.

I hope the staff find greener pastures soon.

I flew them once, in August of 2023 from Vegas to Ontario and it was still a service that needed a lot of kinks worked out. Beverage service lacked both soda and booze, first class lacked a clear product strategy. Based on others who flew them later it’s not clear that really changed.

Northern Pacific is one month into service, and unlike our first attempt, we’ve finally gotten on board to test out the airline’s product.

and ideas kept spinning out into the ether. Heck even two weeks before it fell apart they announced a partnership with BeOnd to launch an all business class plan. Obviously that isn’t going anywhere, though one could pretty easily argue it never was.

And then they folded.
