I submit that it’s better if you watch it not as an action film, but as a Johnny Woo film. Then it clicks. (I said better, not good.)

I fear it never will. They’ll excuse things and modify their positions for as long as they breathe. It’s a cult. Maybe a few will wiggle free. That’s it. Consistency has been a joke from day one.
