Then, sure enough, it was time to part ways. Like I said, I always knew beforehand, and it was very apparent when the time came cause they gave me a gift that wasn't something they made. (They're an artist) I hope they're still happy too.

Eventually, they became stable and could stand on their own two feet properly. They got themselves a partner that they were happy with, got fired from a job they felt was holding them hostage, and were freed from past mistakes and consequences.

This might seem sad, but that person was going through an almost unbearable amount of life crap at the time. I was their go-to comfort person, and even though I let them know exactly how I felt about them, I certainly didn't want my feelings to just be another burden they had to carry around.
