You’re right. Age has zero to do with it. Christmas time used to BE more magical because of how businesses – retailers – used to make us feel. The opulent, often magical displays, the music, smell of Topsy’s popcorn, and so much more all made each Christmas season feel special.

It’s pretty terrible. But this is what happens when EA has exclusive rights and thus no competition. If 2K Sports or 989 Sports were still allowed to make NFL games today, Madden would be 100 times better.
