We are stuck in this 50/50 place. It might need to get worse before it gets better. We need to brace for that and do our best not to give up. Hopefully, avoiding the shutdown will at least protect the people that need those benefits the most, especially now.

Don't be sad. It was never within our control. And, being no stranger to tragedy, in the worst of times we have to look for the good, whatever we can find. Be it a sunset, a new friend, having food. I know I sound - idk the word - but we cannot lose hope and fall into despair.

and if someone is bullying someone on social media, in that instance I wouldn't be silent either if I'm witnessing that. I haven't come across that often (I've been pretty absent on social medial since 2020). But if I do see it, I would absolutely put that mother f&cker in their place.

Now THAT, I completely support!!! If someone in the real world is out there bullying people, I WILL say something and stand up for whoever is being mistreated. That's a totally diff scenario. We need people to be vocal in the face of that kind of hate and bigotry. In those situations I am vocal!!

Deleting my twitter account was liberating!! It really does piss me off when they're all "you're intolerant" yet that's what they do to us! the cognitive dissonance is enough to drive me absolutely insane. Which is why that bullshit approach does not work. And to your point, is not their goal.

not for me. Those are friends or family that I just won't talk about politics or global events with. And that works for us.

I'm happy. A few of my friends get all of their news off social media and frequently post inaccurate information in our group chats. So when I correct them, they are cool about it and we have a real discussion that is engaging and beneficial to both sides. The people that need the fight though...eh

Yes. And what, REALLY, are they achieving? Misery, in my opinion. That's not a lifestyle that works for me. I have a desire to know truth, that's a thing I have about me. Probably not a great thing, lol, but it is a thing. As long as I'm reading balanced news, and have a handle on what is going on,

I agree with you to an extent; those people I just don't engage with. They're looking for a fight and are not open to actual conversation. And to your point, some people do need to be put in their place, and not everything can be reasonable, especially now.
