A bunch of drawings of hippos in different poses and styles, from more realistic to cartoony. The first is a hippo with his mouth open, roaring. It's depicted with harsh dark shadows, and angular lines. The second is a black and white sketch of a baby hippo sitting on the ground. The third is a realistic-ish illustration of a hippo in profile, and the forth is a cartoony rendition of a hippo swimming, with just its head outside a body of water. It's once again rendered with harsh black shadows, but this time colored in 2 different shades of orange.

We're still hard at work on immortal dark💪 Here's a progress shot of the first page
Layout for the first page of Immortal Dark. The first panel is a shot of the night sky, with dark clouds around an amethyst moon that seems to be glowing red. There's a rectangle identifying the place where the action is taking place. It reads: "Abandoned warehouse fight club - Lunaris". The second panel is a close up of Nico's eye. It's red and reflects the moon right above him. He seems to be exhausted, covered in sweat and blood. In the last panel we have a full body shot of Nico. He's laying on the ground, catching his breath. There's a speech bubble from the narrator that says: -We spend most of our lives trying to reclaim what we believe trauma "stole" from us... Innacurate Blanka lore :)
Scene depicting the tragic kidnapping of baby Blanka by poachers. I wasn't aware Blanka's mom was a human, so I drew her very similar to blanka. In this picture she's crying and reaching her hand towards the truck that's taking Blanka. She screams "MY BABY!!" as Blanka disappears in the distance, who's feasting on one of the melons on the back of truck, blissfully unaware of what's happening.

I first thought this was a culture thing, cuz I thought Blanka was like an ogre, or something, and this gift were traditionally given to young children to make them stronger, but as it turns out blanka was originally a human???
