The book starts with an introduction to all of the different characters that may come up with in the comics before it gets in to the 1st volume of comics: 1981-1990. It begins with comics about death and sex and a day in the life of Morty the Dog.

Thomas Campbell, better known in the small press comics/zine sphere as "Comics Blogger," took a look at the first couple volumes of The Collected Cranium Frenzy by Steve Willis. For a reader coming in cold to Steve's work, I think the books acquitted themselves quite nicely. Many thanks for the thoughtful review, Thomas! Vols 3-4 are on their way imminently. For those who don't know, "Comics Blogger" is a combination of Patreon and digest-sized print zine. I took a look at one of the issues here:

For my money TEN is the best spandex hero stuff going in the self-published sphere...perhaps in all of comics. If capes and the like are your thing, I can't recommend this highly enough.

For my money TEN is the best spandex hero stuff going in the self-published sphere...perhaps in all of comics. If capes and the like are your thing, I can't recommend this highly enough.
