I get the feeling this is a reaction to some specific person/interaction/observation; but as a general statement I would have to disagree- some of the best books I’ve read are picture books. Also, this statement is feeling rather ableist (which isn’t the Eric Kim I know). 💗

Okay but really, I can’t stand her, her music, nor the Swifty zombie horde I was stuck in last Thursday night from Union onward, but I do recognize that she has unprecedented popularity and influence and there’s nothing I can do to change that.

I don’t get it either. There’s a lot of massively popular bland pop that I don’t get (Swift, Sheeran).
