Onto the last book in my Iain M. Banks re-read. Don’t remember loving this one the first time I read it, but hopefully it lands differently this time. #BookSky #Books

I may have no power and no AC after hurricane Imelda smacked Bermuda last night, but the Iain M. Banks re-read continues regardless! Just two books left now. Leaving the Hydrogen Sonata for last given it was his last SF work, so instead, the short story collection. #Books #Booksky

Both these stories are currently on the BBC News homepage right now. In case you needed a reminder of just how shameless the Trump regime is.

I’d love to see where Proust would be on this chart. #booksky

Down to the last three books in my Iain M. Banks re-read. Aside from Use of Weapons, this - the one about the Hells - is the one I’m most looking forward to re-reading. #booksky

It’s new book day again! Particularly like the colour of this one. Down to the last four books in the Iain M. Banks re-read now, and apart from The State Of The Art they’re all fat! #BookSky

Time to start book 9 of 13 in the Iain M. Banks re-read! #Booksky

Finished re-reading Iain M. Banks’ “Inversions” yesterday: the Culture novel that never directly mentions the Culture. Was disappointed with it the first time I read it, for that reason, but this time I enjoyed it much more. Not much plot as such, but likeable characters. #Booksky

It’s disgusting that Trump is being afforded this honour. Here’s hoping he’ll be met by mass protests everywhere he goes. (Via @economist.com)

My 14 year old daughter on seeing the Daleks for the second time after watching the Doctor Who episode “Bad Wolf” last night: “Like, they’re not even scary. Why are you screaming at the top of your voice all the time? Let’s use our inside voices!” 😂
