Once you are out of the MotoGP paddock you get forgotten about quickly. Tough to come back from missing a year altogether.

A lot of people will call out Martin for this, and they are wrong to do so. For years teams/manufacturers have treated riders like dirt, dropping them at will. Aprilia themselves got rid of Sam Lowes with a contract clause. Fair play to Martin and good luck to him.

I fully agree with you Simon that the riders are the reason that today's race played out as it did. The conditions were exactly as forecast yet the majority ignored them. All the data was available but no-one had the cojones to make a call other than Zarco

No TV images is the big give away that it's worse than they are saying. The absolute ghouls that control the camera footage and social media are usually really eager to show riders crashing so they can get more social media engagement.
