KDE is certainly the most mature and well thought-out. Xfce lags behind but is very stable. Haven't used KDE in a couple years though so I don't know where it's at now, but I did temporarily encounter stability issues.

I really like KDE. Gnome not so much. I've yet to try anything that comes close to the Windows UI. Probably Mac OS and KDE.

I have no issues with Windows. Main reason I moved away is because of all the bloat they added in recent years that doesn't respect the user. I still prerer linux when it comes to command line though.

I found Xubuntu to be best for me. It's older looking but very stable. I initially spent a year on KDE which is great but started having issues.

Mostly because of work and I got a Mac Mini m1. And in the end I feel Windows is less trouble. I initially moved away from Windows because of all the marketing bloat but yeh.
