Oh wow. In the UK the dogs only really have squirrels to chase. The squirrels are never more than a few metres away from a tree so there’s no real danger of them getting caught.

Do yours actually catch the squirrels?!

I only walk up to three dogs at a time. In the UK, it is completely normal to see dogs running free (but under control) in parks.

It usually takes a week or two before a new dog “graduates” to off lead walks. Some never do, they just enjoy their adventures on lead instead.

Very interesting. Although it makes me a little sad that the “ball junkie” dogs I walk may play to distract themselves from stressful situations.
