I'm a transplant from the Big Apple into Florida's sandy soil. That's me having fun posing with a plastic alligator outside a Florida restaurant. The rainbow photo I took in my backyard; it was the best rainbow I've ever seen. 🦩 🌴 🌷 🌱 🦜

That's a real beauty! #Irises made their way to the New World as settlers made their way from Europe.

While looking for Petunias in Lowes garden center, I found this beautiful large Poinsettia for $22. I may be rushing the seasons, but it just looks so good in the landscape. #Gardening #Flowers #Florida #Landscape

Good morning to all you amazing and beautiful friends. As the autumn leaves drift and the air turns crisp I hope this weekend brings gentle moments of peace and new sparks of hope. We keep moving forward together with kindness and heart. Here is “Autumn Leaves” by Nat King Cole to start the day. 😎😻

Mums and Petunias will be growing.

Moonlight will brighten the night sky.

A cool North wind will be blowing.

Just the right conditions for Halloween Spirits to fly.

Cooler dry air is filtering down to Central Florida. It was a decent day to cut the lawn and find my yellow Alamanda looking for a photo op.

PS There is always a sense of accomplishment when one finishes cutting the lawn.

While strolling on the avenue, white pretty flowers make you stop! You look and then take a closer look. Wow! And the leaves and the way they're shaped are really cool.

It's called Plumeria Pudica, the Bridal Bouquet. #Flowers #FlowerReport #Florida #Landscape #Gardening

Adonidia palm trees, aka Christmas palms, top off a beautiful landscape as manicured Sea Grape wrap it all up for a lovely seaside enhancement. #landscapes #palms #Florida #gardening

Taking advantage of a cloudy afternoon, I pulled weeds in the yard to keep abreast of the jungle from taking over. A Hibiscus bloom and a slight breeze kept me company.

I love how music transcends not only every human but every species. That’s why I love all musicians because they share a message that resonates with every living being on this planet.

Enjoy this monarch butterfly I filmed on my zinnias earlier today.

The Paurotus Palm is also known as the Everglades Palm. It's so pleasing to the eye in a #landscape, but take care prunning it; its barbs can easily snag your clothing and skin. #Flowers #FlowerReport #Florida #Palms #Gardening

Red sky at night,
Sailors delight.

A backyard view in August 2022. This year, 2025, we had plenty of Saharan dust to tint the sky & help to prevent hurricanes from forming. #Florida #Sunsets

Don't ask me why I planted a bird of paradise close to my shady Magnolia Tree. Maybe because the tree & plant were small back then. However, the bird still manages to get enough sun, which it loves. The Magnolia I had trimmed along with some palms for this hurricane season. #Trees #Plants #Flowers

My Mandevilla is still surviving in zone 9b. This vine likes the tropical climate zones 10 and above. My plant's blooms are far apart and none in between, but still come back each year and are such an eye pleaser! #Flowers #Florida #Gardening #FlowerReport

In Central Florida, pineapples are easy to grow. At one time, pineapples were comercially grown here. Keep the top of purchased pineapple 🍍. Apply rooting hormone to its bottom. Plant in a sunny spot. Leave the rest to Mother Nature. #Florida #Gardening #Pineapples #Fruit

As we look at what "is" that surrounds us, try to notice what is important & good for us and reject that which may consume & wear upon us.
