The first new song added a lot to Elphaba's character and was a structurally smart decision. The second new song was completely redundant. A thank goodness reprise would have been better. Hated the weird combat scene after the cyclone. No good deed slaps. (3/3)

Worse. They definitely succeeded in solving some issues the stage version has like actually showing Elphaba saving animals
Nessa's story also had to be changed but I'm sad they completely copped out instead of turning it into an actually good and interesting disability story (2/3)

Wicked: For Good

They tried their best but failed at giving the second act a stronger backbone Conceptually I like the idea of having one movie focus on Glinda and the other on Elphaba but the source material doesn't allow it so the focus on Glinda made the jarring pacing of the second act (1/3)

Bugonia

Loved it. Definitely one of the less crazy movies he's made but the unsettling tension still holds up throughout the whole film. Incredible dialogues and acting.
Recommend it to anyone who likes lantimos and especially recommend it to anyone who doesn't know him yet

Frankenstein

Disappointing. Aesthetically sometimes really cool but overall suffers from the Y2K CGI aesthetic trend that makes it feel like a Burton movie. Narratively i wish they had focused on one character instead of telling two half assed stories.

I love non linear sorry telling but this one does it for a second and then switches to chronological order which i thought was a pity. It's kind of bad but I still liked it. A hard watch and definitely not for everyone

One of the most moving movies I've ever seen. Definitely worth watching at the cinema. Makes you feel things you've never felt before if you let it.
Recommend it to anyone who can sit with hard emotions.

Absolutely loved it. The school shooting metaphor unfortunately falls apart at some point but I don't think this movie needs a big message. Unsettling, scary and fun
Recommend it to literally anyone who likes horror movies

One Battle After Another

It was a fun watch with really cool scenes but in the end I'm not really sure what it was trying to say. The pacing is a little weird in the end but a fun watch nevertheless.
Recommend it to anyone who wants a non serious 3 hour movie
