If you wanna help a slow animal cross a busy street, that’s cool. But please, don’t put an animal back where they came from, even if you do it to keep them safe.
They’re trying to get somewhere else and they’re gonna keep trying. It’s keeping them in danger longer

I said “he must want to be somewhere else then” and we watched to make sure he’d make it across the pavement. Once he did, we left and saw him crawling through the grass toward a drainage where it had probably been trying to get to all afternoon

Christy and I were leaving a store and we saw this guy and watched him. Apparently, people had moved him twice into a lightly wooded area next to the parking lot but he kept coming out and crossing the pavement.
