The problem with that plan is that Medicare Advantage and MediGap costs are soaring too.

Same in our home state of Michigan. 25% of Michigan residents are enrolled in Medicare; in rural communities it's as high as 40 - 45%. Every $1 of Medicaid spending in rural communities generates $3 - $4 of economic activity from keeping people at work, and providing good paying health care jobs.

This point needs to be made far and wide, and outside the scientific media.

This is a true breakthrough, particularly for the thousands of people who do not currently receive traditional cervical cancer screening (i.e. 'pap smear') due to mobility limitations, lack of transportation, prior medical and/or sexual trauma, geographic remoteness, or preference.
