Assembly tool progress by the community has been unbelievable. Heng and Haoyu with hifiasm-ont, the verkko team (@sergek.bsky.social et al) and @msikic.bsky.social et al with HERRO have been pushing whats possible for T2T. Same as @gaetanbenoit.bsky.social for metagenomics with nanoMDBG.
