En route to the Belfry’s ‘1979’ opening last night… (a fabulous must see), I was gratified to see so many young people playing sports in the upgraded grounds/fields at Victoria High School. Every beach volleyball court in use; soccer teams at practice; track in use by runners. Healthy fun in #yyj.

August 22, 1975! Today Roy and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. A couple of kids … we have enjoyed a wonderful life together. Wed in Edmonton. We moved to Victoria in 1978, where we were lucky to create enriching careers, raised two fine sons, thrived in Island life. Love my life!

Yahoo! Cast my ballot today 4 upcoming Federal Election: April 28. (I will be overseas.) Feel relieved as this election is monumentally important. #ElectionsCanada offices are at 722 Johnson St here in Victoria. Took 2 minutes to vote. Very professional set up. Love my precious country #Canada.

Meanwhile ‘timid’ moi visited local #Costco today with a pal… my second time ever here in Victoria… packed with shoppers spending $erious money. Fascinating to observe this retail reality. I bought good sunglasses and tasty soup. Results: No glare and delicious.
