#MosaicMonday at Brading Roman Villa: a half-naked man with stick, globe & sundial is identified, as 3rd C bc astronomer & poet, Aratus. The damaged larger part of the Brading mosaic floor above Aratus might represent his famous poem the Phaenomena telling Bronze Age stories of constellations (wow!)
