BEHOLD THE HORRORS of neighbourhood retail. This residential neighbourhood in GUELPH is home to a building that contains the UNGODLY COMBO of a CAFE and BAR side-by-side. People are warning this could lead to SMALL TALK with your NEIGHBOURS. Will you join our protest to combat SOCIALIZING?

Now that Stage 2 has reached a regional consensus of yes, it's to talk about building out stage 3, mostly because it would benefit me personally and I'm aware of no other criteria for building rail

Here's the problem: there's a fair amount of what we'd call "naturally occurring affordable housing" in this area. This street view photo is taken from High Street. It's one of the proposed streets for upzoning but there's also a number of older apartments that are rent controlled due to their age.

Cannot believe I'm saying this, but Doug Ford has a greater sense than Mark Carney, I think, of how Canadians want to see our diplomacy conducted rn. The provocative ad campaign satisfies those who think we aren't standing up for ourselves, balanced out with things like this WSJ olive branch op-ed.

The Ward in Guelph is home to one of my favourite examples of residential retail/hospitality: Standing Room Only, which bills itself as the smallest bar in Canada, and its neighbour, Double Rainbow Cafe. The city's committee of adjustment approved a patio for the building last year.

Did you read the piece? Anyways, somehow I doubt that we are somehow more intelligent on this than the dozens of other countries that have figured this out. This is also enables family sized units that we desperately need, and would also make building affordable housing more easy.
