It’s a sign that the writers of today just don’t have a clue about what DW is and how to build an appealing brand new character. If they think they need to give a classic monster a human face just to make it appealing then these people aren’t attuned to the reality and beauty of nature

Why reboot a classic design for the sake of keeping a classic character rather than just be original and move away from the past rather than dishonouring the people who built Doctor Who to where it is.
