R4 is a huge enabler of this problem at present. We really have to think about the capability and willingness of Robinson, Webb and Mason as people equipped to deal, in good faith, with political discussion and analysis.

Starmer should be out there using this as reason for root and branch reform of party and MP funding.

Quite. I don't think OBR need to worry about tweaking their budget doc names for SEO. Should do okay traffic as is.

This is absolutely brilliant and I agree, the mansion tax is, or should be the beginning of a broader discussion regarding a proper LVT to begin to shoulder the weight that income tax presently does.

If the link has been published but hasn't been made publicly available it is still published. Very poor content management given scheduled release is trivially easy. At the very least the process needs carefully looking at.

The British paradox: My house is a speculative asset from which I will extract huge, unearned value whilst at the same time being a cherished, ancient home that MUST be exempted from all tax for all the emotive injusticenesses of it all.

Key question to ask with AI adoption npw is 'what is the specific value proposition for each use case?' Efficiencies for high skill, curious early adopters were big though these will diminish as we move along the adoption curve.

In reality property taxes should be going way further. Far less easy to avoid and a disincentive to pension savings creates future moral hazard.

Rough calculations indicate a house worth 5 mil today would have been bought for 4 million 5 years ago. That's a gain of ~200k per annum even factoring in your losses that is still a net gain of 100k p/a A de facto 7.5% tax on those sorts of unearned gains does not seem unreasonable.

Not just British Politics. Former MEPs must also be considered given the nature of his conviction.
