Philadelphia based lawyer. Phillies and Eagles fan. We don’t deserve dogs. Would rather be walking in the woods somewhere.
Maybe one question. Re: soup, is this just pumpkin or all squash-type soups?

Such a well written and wild story.

Been saying this for months. Ads in The burbs replaying Trump and RFK saying “don’t take Tylenol” and “fight like hell” with a bunch of mom’s and grandmom’s laughing at them.

Had someone told you during that first year that, eventually, Sophie would willingly jump onto a trampoline surrounded by strange dogs and people, and enjoy it, I suspect you would not have believed them. Well done all.

Why are we trying to go to Mars but solving these Word issues is beyond reach.

So basically they are rebranding unilateral/arbitrary tariffs as deals. Cool.

It’s like they forgot that they will
lose 100% of the games in which they score 0 runs.

Literally said this last night. Or the loathsome Ted Cruz. He could have threatened to physically harm a sitting cabinet official and would never have had a finger laid on him.

Lost-it’s really a tough feeling. You go through your 20s and early 30s and there is often a logical “next step.” Then there suddenly isn’t one. And IVF only makes it worse since it feels like a step, but is really a treadmill (or at least how I feel 3 years in).

Agreed. But for some reason they keep getting younger while I have remained the same. 😬

Yup

These were really heartwarming to read. Justice Soyomayor should write some novels. And the simpleness of Justice Breyer’s words revealed genuine collegial friendship for which anyone would aspire.

When he was sitting by designation on First Circuit, he wrote an opinion favorable to my client that included several humorous hypotheticals to drive home the reasoning. At only 12 pages, it succinctly explained all the complicated transactions involved, and made me realize I should be more brief.

And have a cheesesteak.

It’s never been free-you just bought a paper. Very odd.

I’m sorry this happened. As a paid subscriber, I appreciate the effort and time it takes to get good information out in an understandable and engaging manner. Why someone thinks that your time to do this task should be free is quite odd.

How are international businesses and investors viewing the USA? Do they fear or have concerns about international talent working or being attracted to the USA? Does the administration’s flouting of courts and the rule of law given them pause?

Not sure how this will not result in future conflicts. Lawyers at these firms now have to consider whether their actions on behalf of their client will lead the president to reissue the EO, which he is not limited from doing and is completely at his will.

More self sabotage. Why start a business here where the federal government is actively trying to undermine the rule of law? Why start one where talent and customers may be afraid to come?

Here is the Fresh Air interview on her book. Discusses Nick Carraway several times.

Must remember this when the chaos leads to swinging at 4 straight pitches that were practically in New Jersey. But so fun when it works.
